The New Orleans Saints signed veteran tight end Kevin Brock and undrafted free agent Cole Manhart on Monday, replacing Junior Galette and backup center Mike Brewster, who was waived with an injury designation.
Brock, 29, is a Shreveport native who has 10 catches for 84 yards in three NFL seasons, all with three separate NFL teams. Brock played for Buffalo in 2011, Kansas City in 2013 and caught five passes for 21 yards with the Cincinnati Bengals last season.
Adding the 6-5, 264-pound Brock shores up a tight end position that was poised to start camp on Thursday with just four players: Ben Watson, Josh Hill, Orson Charles and Jack Tabb.
