The New Orleans Saints added veteran Baltimore Ravens running back Javorius Allen, as first reported by Field Yates of ESPN. Allen was one of several free agents that worked out for the Saints a week ago, along with former Carolina Panthers backup Fozzy Whittaker.
Allen was competent for Baltimore, appearing in 55 games over his four-year career there (including the playoffs). He logged 340 rushing attempts, gaining 1,249 yards and scoring eight touchdown runs. Interestingly for the Saints, he was also a popular option on passing downs: Allen converted 169 targets into 129 receptions, which gained 814 receiving yards and six touchdown catches.
