On Saturday, it was announced that the Saints were bringing in two new players. One just happens to be Marcus Williams. No, not that Marcus Williams, the other one. The one whose name comes up when you’re trying to do an Internet search on the original Saint, safety Marcus Williams out of the University of Utah. The one Drew Brees just recently compared to Ed Reed.
The newest Marcus Williams is a cornerback going into his fifth NFL season out of North Dakota State. This one spent the first four years with the Jets before being picked up off New York’s practice squad by the Texans last season.
