The New Orleans Saints have carried three empty roster spots since a round of roster cuts on Aug. 22, but one of them is now filled by former Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tanner McEvoy. The signing was initially reported by ESPN’s Mike Triplett.
McEvoy (6-foot-6, 230-pounds) entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin with experience at quarterback, running back, tight end, and safety. While McEvoy has made cameos as a receiver, catching 14 passes for 253 yards and two scores, he placed third on Seattle in special teams snaps played in 2017 with 264.
