Saints should send thank you cards to Chargers for gift-wrapped victory

SAN DIEGO – Nate Stupar stood on a water cooler behind the New Orleans Saints' bench and thrust his arms over his head and let out a primal scream into the crisp Southern California air. To his right, Cameron Jordan and Nick Fairley exchanged bear hugs.

Minutes later, Drew Brees launched into a victory lap and exchanged high-fives and handshakes with seemingly every one of the 10,000 or so Saints fans who had just watched their team pull out their first victory of the season, an improbable 35-34 come-from-behind job against the San Diego Chargers.
