In a slightly surprising move, the Las Vegas Raiders parted ways with their former 2018 fifth round pick Maurice Hurst. The move was seen as a cost cutting initiative that along with a couple other moves saved the Raiders over $4 million in cap space. The talented defensive lineman is now looking for a new home and the New Orleans Saints should be showing interest in the former Michigan standout.
While his role had declined last season due to ankle and calf injuries, as an ancillary piece Hurst could provide much value. His specializes in rushing the passer and nothing is more disruptive to an offense than pressure up the middle.
