Until late in the third quarter of the Saints Week 14 game on the road against the Buccaneers, the usually high octane offense had been embarrassingly held in check for six straight quarters. That same offense that the Cowboys locked down in Week 13 was still looking disjointed, rusty, ill-prepared. Definitely not your typical Saints under Sean Payton and Drew Brees thing.
It wasn’t until that point, deep into the second half, that a blocked punt by Taysom Hill seemed to wake the Black and Gold from whatever tryptophan induced coma the offense had been suffering since Week 12 against the Falcons.
