New Orleans Saints rookie Carl Granderson reached a plea deal with prosecutors in his Wyoming sexual assault case, per a report from Davis Potter of the Casper Star-Tribune. Court documents filed Wednesday by prosecutors submitted modifications to reduce the charges against him from punishable by felony to a misdemeanor.
Granderson previously made a not-guilty plea back in April, when faced with one count of third-degree sexual assault and another count of sexual battery. The submitted changes reduced the sexual assault charge to a count of unlawful contact, and would have avoided a jury trial scheduled for Monday, July 15.
