The New Orleans Saints have released versatile guard Nick Easton. They originally signed Easton to a 4-year deal from the Minnesota Vikings back in 2019. This move will save $5.875 million in 2021 cap space, and with the Drew Brees transaction, the team has already cleared around $30 million in cap space.
Easton was a productive player with the Saints, but couldn’t stay on the field with multiple concussions and other injuries. Easton appeared in 12 games this season, and after an up and down year, the Saints decided to cut ties. This was a move to get under the cap but was also because of player production and price.
