METAIRIE, La. – The New Orleans Saints’ roster shuffling continued at a dizzying pace Wednesday as a league source confirmed they will release second-year quarterback Garrett Grayson (as first reported by Pro Football Talk) -- likely to make room for guard Jahri Evans.
The Saints invested a third-round draft pick in Grayson last year, but he didn’t progress as well as they hoped this year. He completed 55.7 percent of his passes in the preseason for 409 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.
After a poor performance two weeks ago, coach Sean Payton acknowledged, “I’d like to see him further along at this point than he is.
