The New Orleans Saints are re-signing veteran DE Darryl Tapp to a contract on Wednesday, according to Josh Katzenstein.

Tapp, 32, is a former second-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2006. After four years with the Seahawks, Tapp signed a three-year contract with the Eagles as a free agent in 2010.

Tapp played a year for the Redskins before signing on with the Lions in March of 2014. Detroit later brought him back on a one-year deal before he eventually caught on with the Saints.

Unfortunately, the Saints cut Tapp loose coming out of the preseason as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players.
