The New Orleans Saints brought back a familiar face on Monday, Dec. 31: rookie defensive tackle Henry Mondeaux, who signed with the team following the 2018 NFL Draft out of the Oregon Ducks program. Mondeaux competed over the summer and into training camp in a bid for a spot on the opening-day roster, but was waived during final cuts. The report comes from Josh Katzenstein of the Times-Picayune.
The towering Mondeaux (6-foot-5, 280-pounds) offers a similar body type and skills set to Mitchell Loewen, who was claimed off of waivers by the Detroit Lions before the end of the regular season.
