The New Orleans Saints re-signed four of their five exclusive-right free agents to one-year tenders for the 2019 season. These are minimum-value contracts presenting a simple choice: remain in New Orleans, or sit out a year of football. The Saints issued tenders to these four players:
That leaves one qualifying exclusive-rights free agent: cornerback Rickey Jefferson. Jefferson, an LSU Tigers product, signed with the Saints for training camp before tearing his ACL and landing on injured reserve. The Saints may have to wait until he is medically cleared to sign a contract tender, or they may choose to not issue him an offer in the first place.
