The New Orleans Saints re-signed cornerback Kyle Wilson to a one-year deal that includes an $80,000 signing bonus, The Advocate confirmed Monday.
The Saints finished the deal with Wilson last week.
Wilson, who was brought in last season late in the free-agency process, ended up being a key member of the team at cornerback after injuries.
Wilson played 505 defensive snaps — 47.4 percent — and made 27 tackles with one interception.
A capable player in zone coverage who operated out of the slot often, Wilson also proved capable of playing free safety, where he backed up Jairus Byrd briefly as the Saints starter returned from injury.
