METAIRIE, La. -- New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram was held out of Wednesday's practice with a toe injury.
The severity is unknown. Ingram was present for the start of practice but did not participate in any drills. It should become clearer as the week goes on if he is in any jeopardy of missing Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.
Ingram has handled adversity pretty well over the past month, though. He was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday for the first time in his career after returning from a concussion.
