It was only two weeks ago that Drew Brees severely injured the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right thumb, his throwing thumb as it were. That was in Week 2 to be exact when the Saints went on the West Coast to play the Los Angeles Rams. He was diagnosed and had surgery done to repair the ligament the Wednesday, Sep. 18, following that game.
Yesterday, Saturday, Oct. 5, Drew Brees took to Instagram to show the results of the current state of medicine, at least as far as UCL repair is concerned. The Instagram post shows Brees throwing a football as if he didn’t just have his thumb in a cast.
