The New Orleans Saints will play host to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday, Sept. 26 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, according to the NFL schedule released Thursday.
The game will be almost 10 years to the day after one of the most memorable games in Saints history.
On Sept. 25, 2006, the Saints returned to the Superdome for the first game since Hurricane Katrina a year earlier.
With the crowd already at a fever pitch, the Saints forced the Falcons to go three-and-out on the first series of the game. Steve Gleason rushed down the middle to block Michael Koenen's punt and Curtis Deloatch recovered the ball in the end zone for a touchdown.
