The New Orleans-Columbus pipeline is still going strong, with the Saints selecting Buckeyes linebacker Pete Werner at No. 60 in the 2021 NFL draft. Werner should compete immediately to start next to Demario Davis in New Orleans. He’s started 35 of 47 games at Ohio State and led the team in tackles as a senior, then dominated his pro day workout, testing like one of the best-ever athletes for his position. He’ll join other Buckeyes alums in New Orleans like Michael Thomas, Marshon Lattimore, and Malcolm Jenkins.
