INDIANAPOLIS — Sean Payton didn’t want to wait. He’s an impatient man.
He knew he had a well-designed play sitting in his pocket, and he was confident it would work. So, instead of waiting to see how things would play out or sitting on it until later in the game, he uncorked his fake field goal the first chance he got during Sunday’s 27-21 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
“We spent some time on it. Looked at it,” Payton said. “We felt like were getting a pretty consistent look. It had to be on the right hash, and I’m pretty bad about something like that.
