Saints outplayed and outcoached at halftime: trail Cowboys 13-0

The New Orleans Saints were shocked by the Dallas Cowboys in the first half of their Thursday Night Football match, with multiple mistakes and miscues by the black and gold. It was hardly the start New Orleans expected.

Saints quarterback Drew Brees was late to throw on several throws, starting a game 0-for-4 for the first time in his career. New Orleans was slow to use their two Pro Bowl running backs, with Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram combining for just 7 rushing attempts. Brees only had 39 yards in the first half. It was the ugliest sequence of plays on offense the Saints have had this season.
