The New Orleans Saints announced their signed contract agreement with rookie return specialist/wide receiver Deonte Harris on Tuesday. It is a standard three-year contract for an undrafted free agent.
Harris played at Assumption College, briefly sharing the field with former LSU Tigers kicker Cole Tracy (who will get a tryout with the Saints during rookie minicamp practice). While there, Harris set the NCAA All-Division record for career return touchdowns (combined punt and kickoff returns). He also owns the single-season record with eight return touchdowns back in 2017.
It’ll be fascinating to see whether Harris can translate his sky-high production to the NFL.
