As we speculated in an article released yesterday morning, Dec. 3, Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael is being mentioned, in the media at least and with oddsmakers, as a possible candidate for the newly vacated head coaching job in Green Bay.
Later in the afternoon, oddsmakers Bovada included Pete Carmichael’s name on a list of potential candidates with 15/1 odds. Of course this is pure conjecture. But, as we mentioned, Mike McCarthy had, himself, been an offensive coordinator with the Saints from 2000 to 2004 prior to taking the head coaching job at Green Bay.
