The NFL offseason hits a bit of a lull in July, during a long break between organized team activities and the onset of training camp. Players are dismissed for the summer to spend time with their friends and families, and coaches typically avoid media availability except for the occasional guest spot on a radio show.
But plenty of news has been coming out of New Orleans, where one player the team hopes to lean on — defensive tackle David Onyemata — learned that he will be suspended for the season-opener after being arrested months ago for marijuana possession.
