From Nick Underhill at The Advocate: Saints quarterback Drew Brees plans to see how far his shoulder has come by throwing for the first time since Friday, according to ESPN’s Ed Werder. Brees tested out his shoulder Friday morning and felt like he couldn’t produce the velocity needed to throw downfield against Carolina, forcing the stalwart quarterback to miss his first start due to injury in a decade with the Saints....Brees traveled to Birmingham on Monday to meet with renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews to get the shoulder thoroughly evaluated and received positive feedback.
