The New Orleans Saints voted for which of their teammates would receive the team’s 2018 Ed Block Courage Award: offensive lineman Jermon Bushrod. Each of the 32 NFL teams choose one of their own for the award, which recognizes a player who has experienced tremendous adversity.
There’s no one more deserving on this year’s team than Bushrod: he and his wife Jessica lost their young daughter Jordyn in October, bringing unimaginable grief on their family. Bushrod’s teammates rallied around him and his family offering support, and he dove into his work to help overcome this tragedy.
