New Orleans Saints wideout Michael Thomas has an impressive rookie season. His volume stats were quite impressive, hauling in 92 of Drew Brees’ passes for 1,137 yards and 9 touchdowns. He had a very impressive catch percentage of 76% on the year. His play dictated defenses to focus on him as the Saints No. 1 wide receiver, not speedster Brandin Cooks. To command that respect as a rookie, and still perform at such a high level leads many to believe Thomas can emerge as one of the game’s best wideouts in 2017.
Perhaps even more impressive, however, was that Thomas ranked highly in certain advanced metrics as well.
