The New Orleans Saints signed former Texas Longhorns wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey to a rookie free agent contract after he wasn’t selected in the 2019 NFL Draft. This could turn into a big opportunity for both parties.
Humphrey was the centerpiece of the Longhorns offense in 2018, racking up 86 receptions for 1,176 yards and nine touchdown catches. He also logged a handful of rushing attempts, finding the endzone with one of them. Per the Pro Football Focus draft guide, 427 of his 469 routes began in the slot, and he led the Big 12 conference in missed tackles forced after the catch (22).
