The Saints continue to make roster tweaks as the first preseason game, Thursday, August 10 vs. the Cleveland Browns gets closer.
Kicker Patrick Murray, most recently with the Cleveland Browns and previously with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has been brought into camp after coming to terms with the Saints. Details of the deal weren’t available at press time.
This is a little bit of a head scratcher as current Saints kicker Wil Lutz has, by all accounts, looked solid at training camp to date. After a shaky start to 2016 the rookie kicker came on strong at the end of the season once the Saints added special teams coaching assistant Kevin O’Dea who worked with Lutz on getting elevation on his kicks.
