New Orleans Saints left tackle Jermon Bushrod exited the game against the Carolina Panthers with an undisclosed injury, stomping angrily to the blue medical tent and throwing his helmet away. He later left for the team locker room. It’s not known what his condition is or if he will return to the game.
This makes an already-dicey situation worse. The Saints already lost center Max Unger to concussion protocol, forcing backup Cameron Tom into the lineup. If Bushrod, who is already playing in place of starter Terron Armstead, can’t go, then the Saints will have to move embattled left guard Andrus Peat over to tackle and start untested rookie Will Clapp in his place.
