Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that Saints left tackle Terron Armstead is scheduled for surgery on Monday to repair a torn labrum. Armstead is expected to be sidelined four to six months, which means he could miss the entire 2017 season.
Armstead was drafted by the Saints in 2013, and got his first start at left tackle Week 16 of his rookie season. He started both of the Saints postseason games that year, and was second in PFF pass-blocking efficiency rankings at 96.7 (pressures allowed on a per-snap basis with weighting toward sacks) among all offensive tackles in the playoffs.
