The New Orleans Saints couldn’t put the Los Angeles Rams away in the NFC championship game, losing 26-23 in overtime. Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein came through in the clutch for his team by making a 57-yard field goal in overtime to seal the win after hitting a 48-yarder with 15 seconds left in regulation.
Los Angeles was playing from behind for most of the game. The Saints jumped out to a 13-0 lead early on the strength of a smothering defense and dynamic offense. Saints linebacker Demario Davis quickly showed that he would be one of the players of the game with a timely interception on L.
