When it comes to household names for kickers, Morten Andersen is right at the top of the list. With a career stretching from 1982-2007 with five different teams, he was named to seven Pro Bowls, was a six-time All-Pro, and is a member of the NFL’s 1980’s and 1990’s All-Decade Teams.
Drafted by the New Orleans Saints out of Michigan State in the fourth round of the 1982 NFL Draft, the Denmark-born Morten Andersen, also known as “The Great Dane”, played in the Big Easy until 1994, making six of his seven Pro Bowls down on the bayou.
