The New Orleans Saints are off this week, with a mandatory minicamp scheduled for June 11-13 (and these practices will be open to the public, so make plans to attend). It’s the perfect time to look back on team history and wonder what might have been.
Few have accomplished that better than Kyle Crabbs over at the Draft Network, who put together a redraft of the first-round picks back in 2008. Crabbs didn’t change the order of selections made, so the Saints still made a trade up from No. 10 to No. 7. In the real world, they made the bold move to pick USC defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis, who retired just five years later.
