Morten Anderson, the Kicker who was with the Saints for thirteen years, has been inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame. Anderson holds the NFL record for points scored with 2,544 over the span of 25 years with 5 different teams.
This past season, Anderson was placed in the Saints Ring of Honor as they celebrated their 50th season in the NFL. Being elected to the Pro-Bowl 6 times, as well as 2 All-Pro selections, during his tenure with New Orleans makes him the best kicker in team history.
Sometimes considered the team’s “only offense” during the infamous Dome Patrol years, Anderson helped kick the team to multiple victories and was a staple of reliability during a time in New Orleans where offensive scoring was scare at times.
