The spotlight fell on the New Orleans Saints' young cornerback group throughout the 20 days of on-field work in training camp.
And arguably rightfully so when considering the Saints used a first-round pick (11th overall) on Marshon Lattimore, third-year pro P.J. Williams returned from injured reserve and second-year pros Ken Crawley and De'Vante Harris rotated with the first-team defense in the absence of Delvin Breaux (fibula).
Veteran cornerback Sterling Moore, however, made it clear Thursday in a joint practice with the Houston Texans that he shouldn't be forgotten.
The 5-foot-10, 202-pound Moore broke up numerous passes during team-related drills, and his effort drew a high compliment and declaration from safety Kenny Vaccaro.
