The surprises haven’t stopped or maybe they have for now at least but don’t get used to it yet. The dust is settling after a fast-paced weekend which started on Thursday with the Saints’ final preseason game of 2019. After that was a Friday and Saturday full of cuts as teams got their rosters down from 90 to 53. Finally, today teams put in waiver claims and worked to assemble their 10-man practice squads.
Seven of the names on this initial practice squad for the Saints are players who were just waived this weekend and were with the team through training camp and the preseason: WR Emmanuel Butler, TE Dan Arnold, TE Alize Mack, WR Lil’Jordan Humphrey, OL Derrick Kelly, DB Terrell Williams and DB T.
