Two more members of the Saints 2010 Super Bowl-winning team are being awared the highest honor the team can bestow.
Middle linebacker Jonathan Vilma and left guard Carl Nicks, two of the team’s leaders from that era, will be the 2017 inductees into the Saints Hall of Fame the team announced Wednesday.
The two came from vastly different draft pedigrees, but emerged as leaders on each side of the ball.
Nicks only played six seasons in the NFL before retiring due to concerns about MRSA. The No. 164 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft played four seasons in New Orleans before signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2012.
