Could more help at cornerback be on its way to New Orleans? NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and NewOrleans.Football’s Nick Underhill reported Monday that the Saints are hosting cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick for a free agent visit. He previously met with the New England Patriots.
Kirkpatrick turns 32 in October, but he’s still one of the more accomplished options available. The former Cincinnati Bengals first rounder tied his career high with three interceptions in 2020 (playing with the Arizona Cardinals), totaling seven passes defensed and 56 tackles (53 solo). He’s appeared in 116 games in his nine-year NFL career, including three playoff contests.
