Saints hopeful Andrus Peat's return to RG stabilizes OL

The New Orleans Saints offensive line has experienced its share of struggles through two preseason games.

Quarterbacks Drew Brees, Luke McCown and Garrett Grayson have combined for four sacks, and Brees has been on the receiving end of jarring hits.

But coach Sean Payton remains hopeful the starting offensive line will stabilize soon with left tackle Terron Armstead's return, which allows Andrus Peat to move back to right guard.

With Armstead missing parts of training camp with an injury, the Saints called upon second-year pro Peat to play left tackle. The shuffling of the 6-foot-7, 316-pound Peat from right guard to left tackle may have contributed to some of the issues present in the first two preseason games.
