NEW ORLEANS -- The New Orleans Saints' offense has gone to ludicrous speed.
The Saints, who have been scoring points this season at the highest rate in NFL history, just routed the reigning champs for their ninth straight victory -- a 48-7 blowout against the Philadelphia Eagles that saw Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram dancing on the sidelines for much of the second half.
Drew Brees threw for another 363 yards and four touchdowns Sunday to keep padding his MVP resume. And the Saints have now scored 45, 51 and 48 points over the past three weeks, respectively -- the most in a three-game span in franchise history.
