Shortly after the Saints defeated NFC South division rival Carolina Panthers on Wild Card Weekend, Coach Sean Payton started a new dance trend in the Big Easy. Payton joined in the Saints player’s dance circle and used some unorthodox dance moves, now known as “Hittin’ the Sean Payton.” It was filmed by rookie sensation Alvin Kamara.
The dance moves inspired local musician Shamarr Allen to make a song to go along with the locker room celebration video. Allen stated, “I had never seen a coach that hyped before, and in that moment I thought to myself, ‘This is what New Orleans is all about.
