Saints have spent once, could spend again for free-agent guard: Larry Holder

(Michael DeMocker, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune)

Paying a top-flight offensive guard has never been an issue for the New Orleans Saints.

They made Jahri Evans the highest-paid guard in NFL history a few years ago. They avoided giving Carl Nicks that distinction instead opting for Ben Grubbs in free agency that offseason. And by settling I mean still paying Grubbs one of the richest contracts for a guard in the league.

I'm as curious as anyone to see how the Saints handle offensive guard once free agency arrives. As of Wednesday, Tim Lelito and Senio Kelemete would be the most likely choices to start with Evans' release a couple of weeks ago.
