If you looked over team stats last year on the New Orleans Saints and were searching for something that needed fixing, obviously it was the play of the cornerbacks. But with no changes and not much in the way of any challengers brought in, the Saints are apparently satisfied with what they’ve got in Marshon Lattimore and Eli Apple.
The stat that stands out is the Saints defense against the pass. In 2018, they allowed 4,302 passing yards. That number had them ranked 29th out of 32 teams in that category. Adding in the postseason, that number goes up to 5,133.
