ESPN is reporting today, Thursday, Sep. 26, that Saints guard Larry Warford has reached a deal with the team to restructure his contract. There’s no change in the amount he’ll ultimately receive, but the restructuring moves money around in the deal which opens up $2.75 million in money for the team this year.
The Saints have been in a bad spot trying to keep salaries under the cap with larger contracts beginning to pile up. Those go all the way from Drew Brees and his $23 million this year to Cameron Jordan at $9.
