METAIRIE, La. -- Ted Ginn Jr.’s first career touchdown reception in the playoffs came Sunday at age 32.
It was an 80-yarder. And it was against his former team, the Carolina Panthers. And yes, that made it all the more special.
“It was very important for me to go out there and show them what they missed,” said Ginn, who was proudly holding a broom to symbolize the New Orleans Saints’ three-game sweep of the division rival Panthers after a 31-26 victory.
“Going from a team that pretty much said that you wasn’t really a factor for them, to come out here and just be an X-factor in the last three games, it’s been a great deal for me,” said Ginn, who signed a three-year, $11 million contract with the Saints on the first day of free agency.
