With the number of rookies the Saints were fielding in 2017, there were bound to be some growing pains and mistakes. One fatal error on Sunday against the Vikings by young safety Marcus Williams ended a season that not many projected would go as far as it did.
On the final play of the game against the Vikings, all Williams had to do was stay in front of Stefon Diggs and keep him in bounds. The Vikings were out of timeouts and it would have been almost impossible to get lined up for a field goal attempt. But he played it too aggressively and Diggs got behind him and into the endzone.
