Eight New Orleans Saints players were not observed on the field Wednesday at the start of the 16th day of training camp practice.
The Saints were without wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr., cornerback Delvin Breaux (fibula), cornerback Sterling Moore, linebacker Stephone Anthony, tight end Clay Harbor, wide receiver Jake Lampman, cornerback Taveze Calhoun and center Jack Allen.
Ginn has missed the past two days of practice for undisclosed reasons, and it is unclear why Moore, Anthony, Harbor, Lampman, Calhuon and Allen were not on the field.
Breaux's absence was expected when considering Wednesday morning's news the veteran cornerback is expected to miss four to six weeks with a fractured fibula.
