It’s impossible to accurately say what the New Orleans Saints will do in the 2020 NFL Draft. They haven’t begun re-signing their own pending free agents, much less engaging in an active buyer’s market in free agency. Their preferred strategy is to address roster needs with proven veterans, allowing them to target the best rookies available in the draft, and it’s served them well in recent years.
In this scenario, we’re projecting the Saints to have filled their most pressing needs with veteran free agents — signing a low-end number-two wide receiver (like Breshad Perriman), a starting-quality left guard (we’re looking at you, Quinton Spain), and a pick-two at quarterback out of Drew Brees, Teddy Bridgewater, and Taysom Hill (which pair returns can be up to your imagination).
