Add New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen’s name to the list of coaching staff possibly heading for bigger things in 2019. Today, news broke that Allen was to be interviewed on Saturday, Jan. 5, for the vacant head coaching position with the Miami Dolphins.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport broke the story earlier today via Twitter. Dennis Allen is in his fourth season as defensive coordinator with the Saints, taking over the position during the 2015 Season when the team parted ways with Rob Ryan.
While it took some big steps to get the Saints defense turned around from seasons where it was historically bad, Allen has finally started to get solid results.
