The likelihood of the New Orleans Saints having linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (quad) available for Sunday's game against the New York Giants is slim.
Ellerbe, who did not practice the past two days and missed Week 1, was not observed Friday on the field during the stretching portion of practice open to the media.
The Saints are covered, however, with Craig Robertson, who is in line to make a second straight start in Ellerbe's place. Robertson signed as a free agent during the offseason and had 11 tackles (eight solo) in the season opener.
